Clear Purpose Builds Momentum

Description:

A multi-year strategic planning, leadership development and capacity building initiative with several community coalitions.

Challenge:

To assist each group — at different stages of development — to clarify its vision, mission, goals and structure in order to achieve desired outcomes; to build and sustain momentum over time with a changing group of volunteers.

• Day-long planning sessions over several months; results captured in graphic format

Increased clarity about coalition mission, goals and structure combined with enhanced leadership skills resulted in significant expansion of membership; more effective operations and less "wheel spinning"; goals accomplished; enthusiasm and momentum built.
